Window/Door Glass Replacement & Glazing

Maine Hardware's store in Portland Maine is the go-to glass replacement and repair. Our glass cutters, glass repair and installation specialists can fix all types of single pane windows right here in the store. Just drop off your window or door at the service department and before you know it you will be on your way to a repaired window.

We offer both single strength and double strength glass and can handle just about any job that has straight cuts.  Our experts in glass installation at Maine Hardware and are always ready to help:

To replace the glass in a normal sized window typically costs $25 for labor plus the glass cost and shop supplies.  Our normal hourly labor rate for window/door repair is $60 per hour.

• A typical reglaze of a 36x36 wooden sash costs $27.
• Replacement of a single pane 36x36 window in a wooden sash with glazing runs $54

Unfortunately, we're not setup to repair/replace circular or curved pieces or work with beveled or double pane glass.  We don't replace broken glass on riveted storm windows. We don't stock high heat glass for wood stoves. We will perform general repairs on wood sashes such as glueing loose joints.
